What led you to set up The Outrunners?
I saw that there was a need for connecting our runners in Hackney who have access to loads of great opportunities to the vibrant young people of Hackney who are thirsty for opportunities but might not have the means to access them.

If you weren’t doing what you do, are there any other careers you’ve considered ?

Ooooof tricky question. I think I’d like to have put on festivals. Although I’m not sure how much work I would have got done

As well as doing what you do, do you have any other unexpected talents? (might be a bit linked to the above..)

I like to think I can throw a decent outfit together, but others might think otherwise :/

If you were stuck on a desert island/in a lock down situation and could only have 3 things what would they be?

100% something to play music on, if I could only have one song it would be Massive Attack’s Unfinished Sympathy, I’ve loved that song since I was a teenager and it never gets old. As well as that a decent shirt and a flare gun. I love desert Islands, but I reckon I’d get bored in about 2 days and want off as I’m 100% a city boy

What was the last cultural outing you did or plan to do?

I went to Athens and visited the Acropolis, Athens is a great city, you don’t need to make an effort to see the sites. They’re all around you and its only about 40 mins on a tram to a really nice beach, plus the food is banging

What next for you?

The Outrunners crew are planning our next Run your career event and doing it virtually due to Covid. So we’re working really hard with all of the companies to make it as fun and interactive as possible so the kids don’t fall asleep. No one likes a boring zoom.

Any significant Margarets in your life?

Sadly not – I’m not a Royalist but I heard Princess Margaret was a bit of a wild child!
