Friends of Margaret give us their recommendations on what they are culturally indulging in at the moment.

We are excited to share recommendations courtesy of our friend Alice Vincent, as part of our 5 Things series!

With her own book “Rootbound, Rewilding a Life” described as one of the best book of the year in The IndependentFinancial Times and Gardens Illustrated, Alice recommends her favourite reads from Rough Trade.

For those looking to add extra flavour to their week-day dishes, Alice cannot recommend Anna Jones‘ Lime and Double Ginger Soba Noodles enough!

Her magical green fingers have also been busy planting beautiful Papaver Rhoeas Amazing Greys which she can’t wait to see bloom!

Including a must-see at the Harold Pinter Theatre, continue reading to explore Alice’s recommendations in full!

“One of a brilliant quartet of pamphlets released this spring by Rough Trade, in which Claire Ratinon and Sam Ayre explore the legacy of colonialism  on land, art and gardening.”

“I’ve devoured Anna’s cookbook ‘One,’ since it came out, but I’ve made this recipe about four times.

So good.”

“I am completely hooked.

There is something so calming about watching people put makeup on.”

“This is the plant that I am most excited to see turning up in my flower beds.”

“If you needed an excuse to go back to the theatre…

A remarkably cast two-hander with a devastating emotional impact.”
